Most Humiliating Place You've Ever had your Credit Card Declined

For me: Trying to purchase migraine medication online.

But I'm actually happy that my CC company was observant enough to worry that it was odd for me to spend $300 bucks for nine pills on the internet. They did the right thing. I was just embarrassed to have to explain it, because I had a perfect credit record and pay my bills off in total every month.

Meanwhile the CC company was on the phone to me, questioning if the card had been stolen since we had never used that particular card out of Florida (and gee, we only live ten freaking miles from the Georgia border, why had we never used it in Georgia?).

I OK'ed the card being used but hubby didn't know and didn't try it again the rest of the weekend.

It's bad enough that the help are all snobs, but then I call the CC company and its all about, "You are in a different place than normal and we're protecting you" and I replied, "So I need your permission when I travel out of state" and they are all "Well, you could have called..." and I'm like "Mom? Mom? Why are you hassling me?"

I used another card and cancelled the one from the asshole CitiBank.

Now before you tell me it was just them protecting me, I travel a lot, and to SF 3 times a year using this card.
