7. I should add to this, that it is in NO way his fault.
It has been 16 years since the divorce and he just finished HS. I was not there for him.

We saw each other once or twice a month through the years.

24. You saw him a couple of times a month until the last few years?
Sorry if you've mentioned this before and I don't know the background story. It just seems as though 16-19 is when teenagers are struggling to become their own people, and have the most stress. My son is 14 and I'm enjoying his easygoing attitude, hoping he doesn't turn full of angst as he gets a little older.
Does your son live fairly near to you?
