I made it through reading that book the first time to my eldest daughter without screwing up - I replaced every instance with "green eggs and SPAM". I don't think I've screwed up since either, and that involves multiple readings with three daughters.

Wife:
I don't want any spam!

Customer:
Why can't she have eggs, bacon, spam and sausage?

Wife:

Customer:

Waitress:

Wife:

Waitress:
Shut Up!! Baked beans are off.

Customer:
Well, could I have her spam instead of the baked beans then?

Waitress:
