The only meme of value in the Sanford story is continued Republican Christian hypocrisy and lying.
The adultery itself is irrelevant, and no one should give a shit anyway. Who cares? I don't fucking care. Bop whoever you want.

The real issue - the ONLY issue of value in this stupid story, is the continued proving that the Republican Christian "Family Values holier-than-thou" assholery they've spouted for the last 30 years is pure fucking bullshit, lies, and hypocrisy.

Democrats fuck around and get caught, too, but at least we aren't the party that beats its chest every fucking two seconds about how Jesus-lovin' family-values sexually pure and Godly we all are and constantly pushes the meme of holiness, purity, and old-time apple-pie-and-Jesus tradition.

I wish the media would do their fucking job and hammer home the real story: Republicans are liars, cheats, hypocrites, and just as fallible, evil, and deplorable as anyone else, and probably a hell of a lot more.

I mean, seriously, how many Republicans (and let's include the rightwing Christian pastor assholes, too) have to be caught trolling for gay sex, buying prostitutes, having affairs, embezzling, committing fraud, handing divorce papers to sick wives, and get caught in scandal after scandal, before the media will finally stop calling them the party of morality and ethics and good old wholesome American 1950s "gosh, Billy!" inoffensiveness?

Fucking hell.

I think I know why the Repukes are so afraid of the gays ruining marriage - the repukes want to kill it first.

Or something.

Assholes.

And fuck the media for pushing pablum and irrelevancy.

1. Funny thing is this Adultry IS in the 10 commandments, the one old testament law...
that Jesus mentioned in the Gospels.

Nowhere did Jesus say 'Dudes shouldn't do Dudes' or 'Don't eat at Red Lobster'

So very, very true. Jesus also talked about stealing and hurting others.
And as you say, never said anything about clothing styles, dudes mounting dudes, abortion, dancing, or music.

5. Click the fucking hide thread button.
That's what I do with threads I don't want to see. Much easier than just bitchin' about it.

6. Ah lighten up Francis.
Just poking fun at 'take this to the lounge' comments in other forums.

Besides, isn't bitching about shit that's very easily avoided a time-honored tradition?

7. DVR and Setanta sports USA
not optimistic about the Setanta sports channel- I have never watched fox soccer channel or heard the coverage? Who does the matches in the US? Anyone? Hope Derek Rae and Rebecca Lowe are involved. I don't know what is happening now that Setanta UK that hosted football matters and the Friday football show are gone.

8. The repugs hold to the truth that the pen is mightier than the sword.
They insidiously took control of the MSM. Some more overt, Fux, and others less so, MSNBC.

9. I have a fundie "friend" who always whines when a Dem gets caught in an affair
I always tell him, the DEMS aren't the ones holding themselves out as some paragon of virtue.

If you folks want to seize the mantle of moral superiority, then you sure as hell better not eff up time and time again.

That's why I despise the conservatives as much as I do. They apply their rules to others but not to themselves. If that ain't hypocrisy, I don't know what is.

11. That's precisely what I was trying to say, except you said it succinctly.
I wish I could have found "paragons of virtue" in my head, so I didn't have to write around it.

12. Bingo!
I was among the many who said Clinton's sex life was nobody's business outside of him, his family, his mistress and God.

The same applies here, although it's entirely appropriate to call him out on his blatant hypocrisy. If I were him, an apology to President Clinton would be my first order of business.
