Celebrity deaths: have you ever heard how they tend to happen in 3's?

RIP to all three of them.

The thing of it is though that there are no rules on how close the deaths must be and that makes groupings in threes a pretty easy thing to do.

They happen singly, in pairs, often in 4's or 5's. Same day? 4 days apart? 1 week? Where does one draw the line of time, and who defines the degree of 'celebrity'? In the LA Times, famous people are in the obituaries every day, but someone very famous to me might not be all that famous to others. How many people under the age of 30 even know who Fawcett was?

It's just absurd. I have been on here for nearly 8 years, and a lot of famous people have died. Often, the third one never drops, or a fourth one passes just as soon as a flood of "omg! they come in threes!" threads have peaked.

People can find patterns in anything - whether jesus in their toast or the dates celebrities die.

Except walks, and I hate walks. Walks are sloppy. Fuck walks.

Sometimes there are 4 game series and 2 game series - which completely mocks the usual 3 game series. x(

I feel for the people who make the schedules each year. I really do. It's gotta be like organizing a plate of spaghetti by length.



But you'd think they'd know better than to schedule a 14-inning game on a getaway day. x(

In any event, I have gotten so used to us winning (almost) every series, or at least splitting the 2 gamers and 4 gamers, that I took some exception to today's loss. Just damn spoiled I guess - being that we have the best record in all of MLB. The Mariners are gradually improving, so it could be an interesting matchup this weekend, as we say farewell to Interleague play for the rest of the season (with the notable All-Star and World Series exceptions).

At least they gain 2 hours on the flight back, extra innings be damned.

This morning I found out about Farrah and this afternoon about Michael and only then did I hear anybody mention Ed after somebody else asked, "Who will be the third?" I feel bad for anybody effected by them passing but people often seek patterns where there are none.
