Google strangeness
Has this been happening to anyone else?

I do a google search, click on one of the choices that come up and it seems like I get "redirected" to sites like Shopzilla and similar. I know it's going to happen because there's a couple second pause, a white screen for a couple more seconds, then a shopping site or a site that has nothing to do with the site listed. WTF is it now? Computers :argh:

7. I mean: where are you looking up IP addresses for domain names?
My ISP has its own DNS but I set my internet preferences to use another DNS I like better: but that DNS reroutes to other default pages if it can't resolve a domain name

I'm guessing that the internet traffic associated with MJ's death may be overloading your DNS and it may be timing out your DNS request and rerouting to a default page

4. Sounds like you got a virus or malware bug of some kind in your computer
Clean that shit out. Firefox is smart, but you still need a better filter on that rascal.

6. Honestly, I'm not an expert. I'd recommend asking people in the Computer Help and Support Group
try it here ==> http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=242

although you may not get a response today
