He also went through a phase of licking/biting my armpit - we put a rapid stop to that - and our other cat will cram her entire head inside my shoes after I've completed a 10+ mile day hike... :wtf:

Jeoffry is a sweet, sleek gray tabby who expresses his affection for me by compulsively licking any area of exposed flesh, usually on my arms, until my skin is almost raw and I cover myself up so he has to stop. Did you know that one of the reasons cats have rough tongues is so they can scrape the last bits of meat off the bones of their prey? But I don't think he thinks of me as prey; he just likes me and is probably "grooming" me. I hope he's doing that, and not tasting me.

But no, you are not alone.
