This is whats left of the Glacier was much bigger a couple of years ago

16. Little Girl is alway Happy
She is special needs and has only Started talking with a little fluidity. But she is always a little sassy and always silly. She just sees the world in much simpler terms than I.

Thank you for sharing. We saw the glaciers receding at least 15 years ago up at Whistler BC.

We walked uphill to the visitors center and were amazed at how packed it was...considering how much the glacier had receded.

13. Portage glacier was my first (and only, really) close up visit to a glacier.
Living in AZ most of my life, it's not something seen often! Spent the winter of 76-77 in Anchorage. Love the blue ice.

14. Sounds like some of you saw the Glacier in it's heyday
Did you know they blew a hole thru the mountain and built a tunnel to Whittier?



There is a toll to get thru...but the only othe way to Whittier is via train
