How are you today?

Sorry about yesterday, but I was way too busy to reply to you all the way you are used to. Not sure how it will be today.

My weekend was OK. Saturday afternoon when I went to work the boss at the groceries store told me that they lost all my papers. I need to bring them again (did that yesterday) and that I won't be paid for the month till end of July. Then I will get both paychecks. Oh joy :eyes:
Sunday I just relaxed. Did some chores in my household though also. Like washing clothes, vacuuming, watering my plants ....

For the soccer fans out there. Yesterday the German U21 team won the European Cup against England with 4:0 :woohoo:

On July 16th the new Harry Potter (and the Half blood Prince) will start in the movie theaters here :woohoo: I know I will be going. And you???

All is well in malta land. I'm missing P very much these days and we don't see any way out of waiting until mid-August. He is just working every weekend :(

I will have to see the reviews of the HP movie. Little MB wants to see it, of course, but I found the last one to be rather spooky. Of course she said it was fine.

It is common in Germany to get paid only once a month. Same in my main job. Only getting paid at the end of the month.

About HP - this part is the part where Dumbledore dies in the end. So it won't be a happy happy movie.

So THEY lose your papers but it's you who's in trouble ?

i just went to bed very early yesterday evening, and woke up pretty early...

I have a long series of medical tests at my cardiologist today. I'm not worried about the outcome, but I'll feel better when the whole ting is over.

Going to take several hours starting at 8, and I can't eat or drink anything till its over (since last night).

Trying to wake up here, it was a slow day yesterday. Today should be busier, the last day of the month always is for us. State inspections for cars means plenty of calls, and plenty of deliveries! :D

I was informed the house will be packed on sunday for the 4th of July. My first saturday off in almost 4 years. I may go into the shop, lock the doors and sleep on the couch. :rofl:

I called the shop manager this morning to see if he got all my papers (he wasn't around yesterday when I handed over the papers). He got them and everything is alright. Now I hope they don't get lost again. Even though it sucks that I don't get the money right now, the paycheck next month will look a lot nicer.

paychecks are nice. Too bad that we have to put in so many hours to get them! :rofl:

I also plan on going to see the new HP movie. It will be the first time I've seen one in the theatre, too. Never read any of the books, though. I like to write along similar themes and want to keep things to my own ideas for plots without too much outside influence from existing stories :)

Yesterday I worked from 7:30am to 6:30pm. I'm not sure yet if today is going to be any different. Which means I probably won't be around much. :(

I am doing fine. It is humid here and temps in the higher 80s. So I called my mom to get me her recipe for a cold cucumber soup :D

I might have to get your recipe some time. :-)

grate a cucumber and mix with yoghurt, salt, pepper, herbs (I use chive) and garlic if wanted. If it is too pasty, add milk or buttermilk.

That's it :D

We all missed you yesterday, but work can be like that. I had rather a hectic morning yesterday, but the day got better. It was a long weekend though, and tiring; no doubt next weekend will be very hectic.

I was thinking about gazpacho, but the cucumber soup is made a lot faster :) Maybe I make me the gazpacho over the weekend.

I can't quite remember (I take a lot of door pictures) but I think it was Munich.

I couldn't believe when I saw that big one in the flimsy tree.
There are much bigger ones too; they can grown to 6 feet including the tail...there is a tail visible in the upper right of the pic belonging to another one.

The really large ones usually don't come in the yard, but we see them in the mangroves and swimming in the canal. They are very good swimmers.

Tonight begins the new soccer season for my 7v7 co-ed team. Hopefully, a full team will show. We have the 1st game, so no one can say that it's too late at night. :P

I am suprised your employer is able to get away with waiting so long to pay you. That's an aweful long time to wait for your money.

to read that book after I finished HP. But the print is to tiny that I just couldn't. I was reading in bed, which isn't the best light. Might give it another shot in daylight ... or visit my eye doctor.

Oh, I lived in Munich when was a kid. Wouldn't surprise me if my dad took the same pic. But he took slides and no one has a slide viewer. :shrug:

I won't be seeing Potter. I haven't seen any of the movies, and haven't read any of the books. Just not my thing.
