1. too me what is boring is the way they play it on the radio -
just the "hit" off one album and then over and over and over. Um there was usually 10 or 20 songs on a record, and most bands did more than one album...

There was some GREAT music from the 70's and even some of the hits were good, but ANYTHING played too often gets boring.

4. That's exactly why I gave up on radio all those years ago
So often if they announced they were going to play Yes it was GOING to be "Roundabout" if they announced they going to play the Allman brothers it was going to be Rambling Man and so on. Unless you were the Stones, Zeppelin or the Who you were not allowed to have more than one song played on the radio.

Satellite and and internet radio are the way to go.

11. Try community radio if you are lucky enought to have one in your area
(or you can stream mine http://www.kxci.org/)

I have a long time affinity for free radio, going back to the ideals of Pacifica. Community radio should give voice to those that can't get heard elsewhere - including music.

KXCI is a little boring and almost commercial during the day, but shines after 6 and on the weekend. Mostly music and a bit short on public affairs but that is how it got started so the social justice part is still forming.

7. Oh, come on, they were much bigger in the 70's than in the 60's.
Would you call U2 a 70's band?

10. Bzzzt, sorry, no. That's a 60's guy.
In the 70's, he was a has-been already.
