I shared a vibe with people
Edited on Mon Mar-15-04 03:30 AM by syrinx9999
Earlier tonight, me and a friend went riding, and we ran into a police roadblock. The cop claimed he smelled alcohol, even though neither of us had been drinking, not a drop. But we escape and we eventually arrive at the store, and I started talking to somebody. And I told her what happened. She looked like a Southern Republican, whatever that means. And she turns to me and said "I hate that shit, but welcome to Bush's America."

I took that to be a good sign.

And I saw that all the people, about 15 I guess, recognized what was said. Positively.

1. I'm beginning to see that

I try to make the rounds everyday where politics is discussed in our little town. Just a couple of months ago the Republican "regulars" were as obnoxious as Bob Novak. They are a pretty sheepish lot these days, and some of them haven't been around for a while.
Edit-spelling

3. Well
they are locally owned places that I cannot post here. However a lot of us (Repugs vs Dems) used to get together mostly at McDonalds around 11:00AM but it got so bad that the manager threw us out and said if he saw two of us at the same time again he would call the cops. I thought that was pretty cool.

4. My spouse goes to Waffle House before work
and has some friends she's made there. The first one was a elderly southern lady who started talking to her about how much she hated Dubya. Others joined in. These are older folks who know enough about life to realize just what Dubya is doing to the nation.

And this is in Florida. NORTHERN Florida.

Maybe there still is some hope?
