1. Banana trees look like trees,
so they're trees, as far as I'm concerned.

Same with pineapples.

Relax, kid....................

2. Wait a minute, I saw pineapples growing in Hawaii
and they were not on trees. They grew out of the ground.

5. Trees grow out of the ground too
pineapples are not fruits, they are part of the trunk, but they are definitely trees.

8. We had a banana tree in our backyard
in Lima. They're technically not trees, but they certainly look and behave like a tree.

And we climbed them like trees to get the fruit.............

12. I've seen Banana trees. I've stolen their fruit from my neighbor in Mexico!
As for Pineapple, I don't care if it's a fruit, a veg, or bark from a tree: Nothing on this planet tastes like it! Especially in the tropics, where I go as much as possible and am still attempting to consume my weight of it!!

14. Pineapple is a bromeliad.
I have one growing in a pot.

I cut the top off (with some of the under the fruit stem attached) and stuck it in a pot.

It's about two and a half feet tall, in a year and a half.

Eventually they grow another pineapple fruit on a spear in the center.

People grow bananas in Houston.

15. I've done that, and one I had in a small apartment got to be...
about three feet in diameter and took up the whole place.

What's worse, it was one of the spiny leafed Puerto Rican pineapples, so it poked people and ripped clothes.
