Tell me how you counted your blessings today
I went grocery shopping today and had a hard time fitting everything in the freezer. At first I was frustrated, then I stepped back and silently thanked whatever "powers that be" for blessing me with this "problem."

1. I did laundry today.
I have plenty of clothes to wear.

And since they cover my bare, naked body everyone should be grateful for that! :hi:

2. I bought furniture (used and crappy but it's mine!) to start a new business venture.
I love these threads. I did one a few weeks ago and I appreciate the reminder to count my blessings.

3. that we were able to come into a bit of extra money
$60 may not be a lot to some people, but for me it was enough to lessen the panic i've been feeling over money lately.

i've also been really stressed out about my upcoming move, but i am lucky in that i have a stable housing situation.

7. $60 is a lot to me
I've been blessed to find a forgotten dollar in a pair of old jeans. When you don't have any, it feels like manna from heaven to find that unexpected bit.

11. $60.00 buys a lot of groceries for us.
I do most of my cooking from scratch so I can get lots of stuff for that much money.

9. Just this afternoon I was complaining about
feeling SO full after lunch. Then I stopped and thought of how thankful I should be that I have food to eat and I'm not going hungry. Then I felt so terribly guilty, and sad for those that have not. It makes me cry just thinking about it. 2nd Harvest (Feeding America is the new name) is my favourite charity.

13. I got up this morning at 5...
...so I could take a 30 minute walk to the bus stop so I could start the hour-long bus ride twelve miles to my 40 hour a week job, the one with health insurance. And yes, I complained the whole way and the whole day about the weekend being too short, my brand new shoes not feeling quite right, and the air conditioning at the office being too cold.

I did not "count my blessings", so to speak, until I read this thread.
