7. It's potent. Largely because it is deceptive. Very minty. But not sugary sweet.

I like an ice cold shot of it now and again. But then there's this -

I was given a drink once in Garmisch-Partenkirchen called a Sleigh Ride. Tasted like a hot York's Peppermint Patty. Basically, a good hot cocoa, a shot or two of Rumplemintz, and a generous helping of whipped cream on top. With or without typical winter spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, etc - sprinkled on top. The wife of an old friend (she's actually an older friend, but that is beside the point) loves that drink. So I keep Rumplemintz around.

13. There's lots of chocolate things you can do with it

Try mixing equal parts Rumple Minze and a good quality chocolate liqueur (I like Lejay-Lagoute) or do shots of one after another. Throw in 1 part each of the first two and 1 part Irish Cream(I like Brady's) for something really special, although I won't do more than one of those at a sitting as you can get really fucked up really fast that way before you ever realize it.

Send 'em up to Lake of the Woods in mid-January. I'll provide an ice house about five miles out on the lake and a couple of fifths of apricot schnapps. I'll run 'em out to the ice house on the snow machine and drop 'em off, and they can fish and suck down schnapps like real men. Yah...we'll have some cans of sardines there, too, and some soda crackers, just in case they get hungry.

I'll give 'em about four hours out on the lake, then come back and pick them up, but I'll tow a sled behind a four wheeler so they'll have somewhere to lie down for the ride back.

That's how real men do it in the north country, damnit!

11. When I think of Rumple Minze I don't usually think of the president...

Instead, what comes to mind are images of jail bait slipping past club bouncers in crowded former loading dock meat markets so they can listen to brain emulsifyingly loud shitty music and socialize with 20 or 30 something dudes with fake urban accents wearing stocking caps in July who drive pimped out Honda Civics and buy them shots of Rumple Minze until they are finally inebriated enough to fully be taken advantage.
