MG kitteh update: Mighty feline Dilbert has crossed the Rainbow Bridge
Thanks to everyone who sent good wishes for Dilbert last night. The vet found that he had lymphoma and was in quite bad shape, so we made the decision to arrange safe passage for him this morning. Mr. MG was with him when he passed; it was for the best, he said, as he likely wouldn't have lasted another day or two.

Dilbert: a wonderful kitteh for 12 years, "rough an' tough" and bad to da bone.

36. Yes
I was thinking about that--what if we had all gone on vacation together and Dilbert had died alone. In this case, it was good Mr. MG stayed behind.

Thank you, GPV.

11. aw, a blessed orange boy kitty; here's hoping Dilbert and
my late, beloved orange TommyCat are already hanging out, checking out the lovely females, discussing the meaning of life and having a beer together wherever such sweet souls go.

I'm sorry for your loss; he had such a soulful face.

30. He was a fierce kitteh
And smart as a whip. Years ago, our vet fell in love with him when he glared at her (remembered her from the previous visit), allowed her to inspect his teeth, WAITED till her guard was down, THEN took a swipe at her. He caught her in the cheek, and even though he drew a bit of blood, she laughed. (Good thing she had a great sense of humor.) She always looked forward to his visits.

Some cats are special, and that's all there is to it. Here's hoping that time will leave you with only good memories and no sad ones.

I spoke with Mr. MG a couple of times today. He wasn't doing too well, but he said the other two cats were sticking close to him all day, so he was busy reassuring and comforting them.

33. He was a very good kitty, KW
Grouchy, but it was all an act. Around our house, the catchphrase was "Dilbert says HUMPH!" because he always had that disgusted look on his face.
