5. Ah, don't sweat it!
When you are there, you'll adapt. The things you have, you'll probably have a few things you wish you hadn't brought. The things you forgot, you'll wish you had them.

But you'll be in New York and happy and excited -- whatever happens, you'll figure it out.

Have a great time!

(I think they have stores in New York that sell things, so you can probably buy stuff once you're there. If not, you should probably really make sure you're taking everything you'll need.)

6. Moving away from my parents was scary as hell and yet exciting at the same time.
But I only moved 50 miles from little rural MN hick town of 500 people to Fargo, I couldn't imagine moving cross-country. Moving from a town of 500 people to a city of 120,000 was enough of a shock, I couldn't imagine living in a city with millions of people!

Good luck! :)

8. I felt that way twice.
The first time was when I moved to Austin after high school.

The second time was when I was in the Army getting to ready to go overseas.

You have a big adventure waiting for you.

Have a great time.
