Would you rather be an individual champion or a member of a championship team?
If you could be the world champion of a sport, would it be a team or individual sport? Which sport would it be?

2. Individual
I'm not much of a team person.

Probably diving.

3. Oops I was suppose to supply my own answers
I would prefer a team sport, I am much more of a team player than a individual player. Definately would be football (real American football, not that round ball football played else where).

4. either
probably track and field - 100 yard...individual and relay for group...or could have been softball or volleyball. I could have easily been a jock back in the day.

11. team is my choice
i meant if i were to pick individual, it would be boxing...

on the flipside, another way of asking the question is "which sports title/trophy would you most like to win?" gold medal? super bowl? world cup? sumo grand master? they all have different weight and prestige...

Trophies I'd most want to own, in order:

FIFA World Cup
Stanley Cup
Olympic Gold Medal
World Heavyweight Boxing Champion
F1 Driver's Championship
World Series
Super Bowl
24 Hours Le Mans
Indianapolis 500
UEFA Champion's League
College Basketball National Championship
Wimbledon
America's Cup
NBA World Champion
Rugby World Cup

7. Individual.
Fencing. Using saber, rather than epee.

9. Team. Folks in individual sports are often miserable. Peggy Fleming said that she
would have played ice hockey rather than figure skating if that had been an alternative when she was growing up.

The isolation of having your 'team mates' as competitors as in skating, gymnastics, tennis - the sports women were steered toward - was lonely.

13. Depends on how you look at it. Could be individual or team.
Horse racing or equestrian show jumping.

I'm not a jockey or an equestrian, but if I had to pick a sport, that's something I'd like. Getting me up on a horse would take a minor miracle these days, but since this is a fantasy question, sign me up for the mounted sports. You can't break your neck when it's only imaginary. :)

The line in show jumping, "Throw your heart over the fence and the rest will follow." Nice metaphor for a lot of things.

16. Fearlessness is a state of mind!
But imaginary danger is the best kind to have.

15. I'm not a sports person, but of your choices I would prefer to be part of a team.
And the reason is because in the "future" it is much more fun to reminisce about efforts and success at an endeavor with others who were there.

On the other hand in the moment, I'm egotistical enough to choose an individual championship. Perhaps something horse related - calf roping? Don't really care for pro-rodeo but I know and appreciate the original skills that engendered it.

17. Individual, no question.
There's this feeling I have of being lost in a crowd. So individual accomplishments mean more to me.
