Gorgeous horse! :hi:

Now I wonder if we could borrow my sister's sheep to do the job? )

2. sheep would be the best, I think -
smaller and not so hard on the brick-a-brack, grazers not browsers like goats, and their "fertilizer" is in the form of small pellets you could just leave in the grass compared to the "apples" horses leave.

Thanks - yeah he is pretty. A little dumb, but better than I was afraid he was going to be when I got him. (oh and there is a second horse there too - behind - or should I say in front of him?)

Roux du Valais http://www.worldofstock.com/closeups/NAN5744.php.

And yep, I saw it and Heidi printed it out for my sister. ;)

8. I heard
That sheep eat the grass down so far that it kills it.

10. if that were true then there would be no grass anywhere sheep are raised
seriously, management of timing has more to do with grass health than numbers or species of grazers.

any animal - rabbits, horses, cows, sheep, grashoppers - will kill grass if they aren't moved off an area in some way (human herders, weather, predators etc)

3. Did someone spend the time to paint in the second horse too?
Think it's a Palomino?

7. Yippie yi yo kayah - I don't know horses
I'm an old cowhand and I come down from the Rio Grande
And I learned to ride, ride, ride 'fore I learned to stand
I'm a riding fool who is up to date
I know every trail in the Lone Star State
Cause I ride the range in a Ford V-8
Yippie yi yo kayah

11. The sharpness of the rear hooves contrasts with the blurry grass
and the other four legs belonging to seemingly nothing are also weird ;)
