I was laying up for a few hours at a little fuel stop/convience store one exit above my delivery stop in southern Oklahoma, and I went inside to buy something cold to drink. It's a warm day here, mid-90's, but nowhere near as hot as it was last time I was here.
Anyway, as I was paying for my drink, another customer, looking hot, tired and dirty set his sports drink down on the counter. I grabbed it, and told the cashier to ring it up on my bill.
The look on his face was worth a million bucks. He thanked me profusely, and tried to give me some money, but I told him to pay it forward, and when he could, buy the next guy a cold drink on a hot day.
For just a couple of bucks, I made my own day.
