I had a rough night

Lots of extra work and one of my co-workers was being an ass. I also had this woman on my mind that I've been writing to. She hadn't written to me in a week and I was feeling kind of down about that. I can tell she's a good one, and I thought I had lost her. She's intelligent and she's got her life together. I don't date me no dumb women. :)

It also occurred to me last night that not very many people talk to me unless they want something other than to hang out and talk. My boss calls me up to ask me to do extra work. My dad calls me because he needs a ride to the doctor. A friend calls me to borrow money. Skinner never talks to me unless he wants money. :D

So I was just feeling bad when I got home this morning. I hopped on the computer and went over to the dating site to write my query, but I noticed I had a message. Cool! She apologized for not getting back to me sooner, she had just been really busy with work and her kids.

I feel better now. :) It would be nice if one of these deals were to work out. She'll be the fifth one in a year if she decides to date me. There have also been what seem to be countless false starts that never got past the e-mail stage.

We'll talk your ears off. ;)

So that kind of shoots Saturday for me. I guess I could make it there kinda late Saturday night, but you guys might be all partied out by then. Labor Day, right? Any time Sunday or Monday would work for me. If you guys can't do it then, it's alright.

Dating can be really tough on the ego. What makes it worse is if, like me, you are looking for a long term relationship and someone who claims to be looking for the same thing dumps you right out of the blue. I was dating a woman last month and everything appeared to be going good. We had been talking for a month and then went on a few dates. Then suddenly I don't hear from her again. No explanation given, won't answer the phone or return e-mails. That really sucks.

I was telling someone the other day that I wish I could get my dates to rate me like you can rate a restaurant on those little survey cards. Then I'd at least have a clue. :)

You can buy extra features, but you can do everything you need to do with a free membership. I like internet dating because I'm not really into the bar scene. I don't drink. Also, I share your lack of faith so I'm not going to meet any of them nice church-going women. :)

Only there's no screaming, just some idiot flipping me the bird and then cutting me off. You'd be amazed at some of the games people play when they are driving. What they don't seem to realize is that I've got a 90% chance of walking away from an accident with them. Their chances are considerably lower.
