I am living in my house now by myself (no kids living here) for the first time
in 27 years!


???

It's just me and the dogs. It's quiet, except when I turn up the music. Such a transitional time!

1. I never had kids, but it is a bit eerie rattling around
an empty house at first, isn't it? You do get used to it after a bit.

2. The dogs are still here, and I turn up the music from time to time.
But it is an adjustment!

The cliche is "empty nest" whatever, but that usually applies to people who are still married. In my case, it's just me and the dogs!

but one came back. So I still have two plus the husband and myself. They do help a lot, but they eat a lot too.:rofl:
