15. I often do too, but that's a variation of 'holy' day, and heading to the beach isn't
a 'holy' experience for most folks.

20. You're right on the variation and yep, going to the beach isn't...
... a holy experience for most folks, what with kids in the back of the car asking "are we there yet?" "I'm bored", "I gotta pee", "I'm hungry..." instead it'd be testing your patience!

5. If someone's that wore out that they can't pronounce "tion"
Maybe they really do need some time off.

Or a drywall screw in the forehead. :)

7. I want to use that technique for people who ask for my "social."
Social what, you moron? Social status? The next social dance I plan to attend? What?

If you want the stupid 555-55-5555 assigned to me, as for the Social Security Number or SSN.

9. Make sure that the head of the screw just "dimples" the skin...
without breaking through it. That way, they can just use a little make-up to cover the screw head.

...Using drywall screws for everything, because they seem to go in so well. Drywall screws are for hanging drywall.

You need brass forehead screws. :D

28. "Pop" is a regional thing, mainly midwestern.
Edited on Mon Aug-17-09 06:08 PM by The Velveteen Ocelot
Here in Minnesota, a soft drink is always "pop." I'm OK with "soda," too; but anyone who says "coke" with reference to a soft drink that is not actually Coke ought to be garroted.

31. I feel the same way about "real quick"
ESPECIALLY when cops say it to a suspect. "Can you show me some ID real quick?"

"Fuck no, officer." As anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows, you do ANYTHING "real quick" around a cop, you're getting shot, tazed or pepper-sprayed.

Right up there with "quick question."
