Pre-pay cell phone suggestions?
I only want one for emergencies, don't want another monthly bill or contract. Anything but Virgin Mobile. I'm sending their piece of shit phone back tomorrow.

the minutes don't actually expire, either-- every two months or so you have to buy some more but they're added on to what you have.

Out here they rent space the Verizon network, but I don't know who they use in other areas.

5. You might want to give Tracfone a try, BUT...
Whatever you do, don't give them your real home phone number when they ask for it. You will get hounded terribly with robot sales calls. :hi:

Net10 AND Tracfone. I'll check their coverage areas around here. Thanks for the info! :hi:

9. I have Virgin Mobile pay as you go.
It's $5.00 a month plus tax. Calls are 25 cents per minute for the first ten minutes per day, then ten cents a minute after that.

It's charged quarterly to my credit card, and amounts not used are carried over. I have never used more than I have credited.

For someone like me, who hates to make any kind of phone call, it is ideal.
