There were times when I didn't think I was going to make it.

Now days I rarely even think about it unless I'm around someone who is smoking. That $3000 dollars I've saved from quitting paid off my credit card debt this year. I'm also more likely to be alive longer, and I don't know about you guys, but I want to be here as long as possible. It sometimes makes me giddy to think about what I've accomplished. Sometimes I can't believe I really did it.

I thought I was making myself happy with the smokes and the alcohol. Maybe I was for a fleeting moment, but the depressing side effects far outweighed the temporary pleasure.
