Miami University (OH) alumni or students - I need your help!

I just accepted a post-doc at Miami last week, and I'm supposed to start in about 4 weeks. I just did some online apartment hunting today, and I think I found something that fits my needs, but I'd like to run it past somebody who's been there, just to make sure I'm not moving into a place where empty kegs fly out the windows (I'm too old for that shit!).

Here are my needs: It's only a 12-month appointment, so I just want to rent a studio or efficiency and leave most of my stuff in storage. My little buddy is coming with me, so the apartment manager must allow cats, and getting him de-clawed is out of the question. Close to campus is good, but not vital. Enough balcony or patio space for few tomato plants is a big plus.
