I'd pull over idiots who tailgate bikers.

2. Anyone driving and using a cell phone. Anyone chewing gum (whether driving or not)
I still think we need to follow Singapore's lead and make gum illegal.

3. I'd do what I was paid to do
pull over those who are breaking the law. Doesn't mean I'd cite them all...

4. See I would pull over the asshole motorcyclists who attach themselves to your tail lights
I can't tell you how many motorcycles I've had attach themselves to my right tail light. I'm then terrified to hit the brakes as that asshole will suddenly find himself literally in my backseat. And any motorcyclist who thinks laws don't apply to them and drives ON the white line between cars, they get a MINIMUM of 30 days in jail. Fuck them.

5. I have never seen a motorcyclist "attach themselves to a tail light"
Sounds like a suicide mission.

Lane splitting, though often dangerous (and not something I personally do) is legal in many states:

http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/answers.html

Can motorcycle riders "split" lanes and ride between other vehicles?
Lane splitting by motorcycles is permissible but must be done in a safe and prudent manner.

6. that's insane that lane splitting is actually legal
Perhaps next time I'm on I-95 I'll drive on the white line too :eyes:

It's good to know that you don't do it yourself.

Usually the ones that ride my tail light at the crotch rockets who end up lane splitting and weaving between cars. I'm always expecting to see the traffic suddenly come to a stop after they've killed themselves and who knows who else by being an asshole.

18. In Michigan, you'd have to be nuts to split lanes
The lines (or joints between concrete slabs) is where most of the potholes originate, and some are fairly long stretches with 2 to 4 inches of concrete missing. It just looks like something that would grab the front wheel with various results (all of them unpleasant). It's one more thing I have to look at when I change lanes.

But, I don't think lane-splitting is legal here. I only see it once in a great while, usually one of the "immortal and unbreakable" youngsters on a sport bike doing three-digit speeds. Way too much fun for this pokey old biker.

:hi:

7. People who constantly cross solid lines. People who "almost" miss their exit and...
...cross over 2-3 lanes to make the exit. (endangering other motorists.)
People who fill up the (sensible) space between you and the car in front of you.

8. People who go straight through an intersection from the right hand turn lane
Especially when they pull into it just before the light turns red thus forcing the ten people behind them to sit through the light when they could have turned before it.

9. People who chuck their damn cigarette butts out the window.
And I'd fine them double if they had an ash tray in their car, and send them to jail for attempted arson if the area is suffering from a drought.

10. Any pickup truck
Whose exhaust system has been modified so that it is louder than stock.

Motorbikes I can understand having loud pipes, huge jacked up pickup trucks don't NEED loud pipes like that.

11. Any pickup truck that bullies drivers not driving pickup trucks.
I can't count how many trucks I've seen (and the jacked-up trucks are the worst) that bully other drivers by tailgating, gunning their engines, swerving back and forth, and just plain intimidating the occupants of the car ahead of them. One of the best driving moments of my life was when a truck driver was doing that to me, and got pulled over by the State Patrol. I would have loved to have seen how badly the trucker got tagged for his assholery.

Also any pickup truck sporting "truck testicles." Automatic felony; twenty-to-life crammed in with assholes with much bigger balls than the offender...

12. Hummers, Yukons, Expeditions, & Escalade SUVs
I would watch them until I could find some reason to give them a ticket.

Also, anybody who makes my job difficult--they would get a ticket, too.

13. People who look like they have money.
See - someone driving a beatup Civic probably doesn't have a whole lot of money. So to them getting a $500 ticket would suck. But a guy driving a brand new $60,000 car it wouldn't. But they would lose 8 hours in traffic school. So for them it would.

truckers who tailgate

people that don't yield to pedestrians
