What are the last 3 full albums you listened to?
They can be downloads, CDs, vinyl - just so you heard all the songs.

Mine -

Charlotte Sometimes - Waves & the Both of Us (I like Charlotte Sometimes (real name is Jessica Charlotte Poland). And she also has a unique beauty)

Brooke White - High Hopes & Heartbreak (Doesn't quite have the special quality needed to be a classic like those albums she's inspired by, but one of the best of the year)

Beatles - 1 (they show why they are my favorite band!)

Latest song was "Soldier" by Ingrid Michaelson, which was great. I can't buy the album now and don't do illegal downloading (I just like paying for music, and Ingrid is one of many artists who don't like her albums being downloaded for free - so I'll see if I can hear her upcoming album on one of those full album listening parties.)

57. Know what would be the all-time awesome?
Miley Cyrus doing vocals on a new Nick Cave version of Curse of Milhaven. She's nearly the perfect age, after all!

Scoff if you wish, but I would never have guessed that Kylie Minogue was up to the task, either...

15. Three CLASSICS...
1). Miles In Berlin (early live recording of his "Second Great Quintet," Miles / Wayne Shorter / Herbie Hancock / Tony Williams / Ron Carter)

2). Grand Funk Railroad - Good Singin', Good Playin' (final album of the original lineup before the first breakup / subsequent reunions, produced by FRANK ZAPPA, who also plays lead guitar on the track "Out To Get You," stand-out tracks are "Goin' For The Pastor" (Mark Farner lead vocals) and "Pass It Around" (Don Brewer lead vocals)...also a bonus track that wasn't on the original album, "Rubberneckin'")

3). Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks (one of his best albums, period. The song that always pulls me back to this one is "Tangled Up In Blue"...I still think Bob's original is the definitive version).

20. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (their first album)....
The Lovin' Spoonful - Do you believe in Magic
Big Brother and the holding Company (their first album)

Interesting transition from Jug Band to psychedelic music - I was there and almost remember everything but I discovered 1) The Lovin' Spoonful wasn't spit without John Sebastian. 2) Big Brother had pretty rough sounding guitars and Janis's voice had not yet been corrupted by alcohol and drugs. 3) I still love NGDB's earliest work (I occasionally heard their music in my sleep!).

28. In order of recency
Miles Davis, In A Silent Way

Powerful in its simplicity-takes my mind off whatever I'm preoccupied with whenever I put it on.

Marissa Nadler, Little Hells

Cool ether-pop similar to Mazzy Star. A contender for my best of the year list.

Tori Amos, Abnormally Attracted to Sin

Two listens in and this one's not really grabbing me, but I may not be giving it enough attention. To be continued.

69. I listened to some samples from Levon's new album
Is it deep blues? I respect that genre a lot, but it's not something I usually buy. I usually buy more pop stuff like A Fine Frenzy, The Corrs, Kay Hanley, Girls Aloud, New Pornographers, Green Day, Michelle Branch, Kelly Clarkson, Tinted Windows, etc. But I definitely like The Band, so not sure I should rule out buying the album based on the samples.

39. Would you believe that I didn't listen to anything yesterday?
Yeah, me either, because I spent about 7 hours playing music. :)

last three on my Songbird (which is just like ITunes, basically)...

Cheap Trick - The Latest (The song When The Lights Are Out is too catchy by half. For each time I listen to it it plays another 10 times in my head.)

Ed Hall - Permission To Rock...Denied (One of my all time favorite bands. I knew they had an unreleased CD from right before they changed into a different band named Pong, but we had never gotten ahold it. Even as friends of the band we couldn't get it. I found it yesterday on a Russian site by pure chance. YAY!!!!)

Akron/Family - Set 'Em Wild, Set 'Em Free (Just a bunch of friggin hippies, by their own admission. Interesting stuff, and not my usual fare.)

43. It's definitely got less of a guitar edge than Rockford did.
Which of course throws me, as the more guitar the better (there was band called Superconductor in the 90's that had 9 of them...it was awesome, especially live!). I bought it on Monday so I've only given it a few listens so far, and it is growing on me, as everything they do tends to do. I still think Zander has one of the best voices in music.

U2 Achtung Baby

Metallica the black album

ummm... can't really think of another album where I just sat down and listened to everything. I usually listen to singles on youtube or last.fm.

I'm pretty sure the last time I listened to a whole album straight through was on a road trip in 1996.

On edit: I have a creeping suspicion that the third album was either Enya or Black 47.

76. Never be embarrassed by the music you like.
You should hear some of the stuff I'm into. You'd feel a lot better about your choices. ;)

73. SInce the ADHD kicked in, I can't think of one.
Can't recall when I listened to a music CD from start to finish. I tend to cherry pick and jump around and shuffle... and listen more to audiobooks.

Of course, that doesn't stop me from buying CDs and stuff...

I'm losing it.
