Seriously, he's going at my (mostly empty) bowl like he never ate before!

What's up with that?

edit: for cat walking across keyboard. :P

1. I had a cat who would fight me for cantelope rinds
:eyes:

I think cats have individual dietary idiosyncracies.

5. Our sheltie likes hot sauce.
For as long as I can remember, we've used cheap hot sauce to keep dogs out of the trash. This one thinks it is gravy.

9. I think all animals have that one special food.

I had one dog who had a thing for broccoli stalks. It was an outside treat, because he wouldn't eat the florets and he'd leave them all over.

I had one dog who absolutely LOVED oatmeal. I always had to make double portions when I had it, or I wouldn't get much of mine.

I had one dog who had a thing for popcorn.

Had another dog with a thing for fresh potatoes. When they were ready to be dug, he'd just go down to the garden and help himself. It got to be a real pain. We'd lose half a potato crop to that damn mutt.

I have one now who is a grape fiend. Only grapes are on the canine 'should not have food' list, so, I only buy them when I'm going to eat them at work. I also have to hide raisins and any trail mix containing raisins.

Like humans, they'll have individual tastes. Just give the cat some oatmeal whenever you make some. You won't have to make that much more.

edit: Cause I can't spell 'broccoli'.
