1. 12 years. You can't pause the movie at the theatre to go take a leak
and then get another beer!

2. About a week and a half ago
to see the new Harry Potter film. I've never seen one of those in the theater. My friend and I will see it in an IMAX this coming weekend, hopefully (if he doesn't have something else "come up" at the last minute again!!1!!) :P

Here's an Air New Zealand flight on the tarmac and that I took from Whakatane (properly pronounced it really does sound almost like "fuck a tawny") last April :)

3. There is a single screen, non-franchise theater in the Napa Valley
It's great -- holds about 150. No commercials. Owners have installed digital projection with Dolby surround. The popcorn is fresh and the butter is real. It's clean -- even the restrooms. After the show the owner asks how you liked the film and thanks you for coming. I love seeing films there.

10. Hmm . . .
Sounds like the owner knows how to run a theater. I wonder if there is a market for a place like that here.

7. Couple of weeks ago...>Bruno...Might be my last trip
to a movie theater. Horrible movie, horrible everything. 10 bucks. reminds me of the kids that knocked on the whorehouse door and the Madam says "how much do you have?" the kids reply "10 bucks". So the Madamm takes the money and beats the shit out of the kids. The kids get up and say "Whew, thank God we didn't have twenty bucks."

12. Earlier this summer
I took my youngest child to see the latest Harry Potter movie. I HATE to go to a movie theater, but when the first Harry Potter movie was released, my husband was working out of town so I was forced to take the kids. Somehow, seeing a Harry Potter movie with Mom became some sort of twisted family tradition. :silly:

15. Yesterday, I saw District 9.

I usually save the theater for "spectacle" films, movies that won't look as good on the small screen. Movies with a lot of special effects fit into that category. Dramas and comedies etc. I usually rent.

18. When was the movie about Jimmy Hoffa in the theatres?
Until last Sunday, when three of us biddies went to see the Julie & Julia movie,
I hadn't been inside a theatre since Jack Nickelson as Hoffa filled the screen.

25. 2 weeks ago to see Harry Potter and then it was 2 weeks before
that to see the Public Enemy with Johnny Depp.

There have been the occasional times when I have sat through 2 (and once 3) movies. Made a day of it.

27. 9 1/2 years ago
I had just moved to another city and the movers lied about delivery of my things. By one month. So on weekends, I'd take in a flick. Once my stuff eventually arrived, it was back to tapes (later DVD's).

I got tired of people talking throughout the films.
