When watching your favorite tv series, do you sometimes mentally write yourself into the stories?

You know, not as one of the main characters, but as a new character that you'd play?

If you have done that, chime in here, and tell me what show you've done that with.

but only with reality shows, like Big Brother or Survivor. I imagine what I would have done or not done if I was on the show.

Generally writing myself in as the new love interest if the leading man was particularly dishy.

3. I do that all the time when I'm watching "The West Wing" on DVD.

I write myself in as a White House Senior Staff member. Because, how cool would that be? To be on President Barlet's staff? I write myself torrid romances with all of the cute female guest stars. Like that Asian-American Coast Guard meteorologist in the episode where the tanker runs aground in Delaware. Or the young beauty who asks Sam Seaborn to obtain a pardon for her grandfather. Or the sexy personal assistant to the drunk Russian foreign minister.

I'm a West Wing geek... B-)

The A-Team when I was kid.

Star Trek TNG. How cool would it be to live on a space ship, not have to have a job, be able to get any food you wanted out of the replicator and spend your whole life learning new shit and meeting aliens? I never really wanted to be on the crew or involved in any of the plot lines... I just wanted to go to high school in the 24th century.

Lost now. I'd friggin' love to live in Othertown on this island in the middle of nowhere and do social science experiments on unwitting victims.

9. Not while watching, but in my head when I'm doing other stuff like walking or cleaning.

The various Trek series, Eureka, Quantum Leap, & Law & Order are the shows I think I have done that most recently with. Also used to do it with Herc and Xena.
