My kitty just fell into the bathtub!
There isn't a more pathetic sight than a wet cat. I heard commotion in the bathroom, and my Sadie apparently fell head first into the water while getting a drink. I got into the room fast enough to see the rest of her get drenched...poor little thing couldn't get her footing and I was trying to grab her but she kept slipping and sliding all the while letting out Siamese howls that the neighbors probably heard - I finally caught hold of her and now she is drenched, I am drenched and the bathwater is all over the floor.

I am wrong to be laughing at this. She is now in the corner furiously grooming herself...she won't let me get close enough with a towel to dry her off, and when she runs, her wet little feet slip all over the hardwood floor!

1. Poor Sadie -
and the damage to her dignity is the worst of all. I'm sure she'll recover completely, but perhaps not sneak a drink out of the bathtub.

Poor Sadie's predicament reminded me of this, which always breaks me up:

2. I once had to bath my cats. The big one was fine. When I put the kitten
in the water she screamed bloody murder and the big one came running into the bathroom growling to rescue her. My hero!

4. And some wonder where the word "caterwauling" comes from!
Poor kittie!

Ours drinks from the toilet on occasion. We worry we'll find her stuck under the seat, treading water!

6. This thread is useless without pictures

The little monster that shares my bed used to have a habit of jumping into the tub, until one day my ex decided to take a bath, instead of a shower. Hilarity ensued!

7. I'm glad you weren't in the tub at the time of the indicent.
Without at doubt, you would have sustained serious injuries before Sadie was able to escape the dreaded water.
