There will be belated birthdays/anniversaries today. Yesterday, I was going to be

with friends at Kings Dominion all day. I knew that, and got up in plenty of time to do all the birthdays/anniversaries. However, my internet connection had other plans. It was connecting, but at speed that made a 14k modem look like greased lightning. It would give numbers like 1.9kb/s, 2.6kb/s, 500b/s. I started and stopped loading several times; turned the computer on and off, and finally in desperation tried to connect to the Lounge to post a simple line asking other people to post the 4 birthdays/anniversaries that were needed, but no luck. After having started this whole process at 7:55 ( I had to be at where we were all meeting at 9:00), I had managed to log in, hit the Lounge icon as it had slowly come up, and had been waiting for 10 minutes for the lounge page to come when I had to go.

I got back late last night (too late to post and have it be effective; plus I was tired). So I got on the computer this morning at 8:00 ready to post it all, and had the same problem. After making the problem worse (no connectivity at all) by disconnecting/reconnecting all the wires, I ripped apart the whole hardware system and moved it to another wall jack (yes, I am not wireless...). It worked, dammit! x(

Expecting it not to work due to a wall jack malfunction, I tore the hardware setup apart AGAIN and moved it back to my normal favorite spot, where it is now working fine :wtf:

Grrrrrrr......

Catching up on all the hospitality functions I am behind on, dammit! x(
