Paul Bunyan's in Wisconsin Dells makes the best donuts ever.

3. Long's Donuts in
Indianapolis. If you are ever there you have to try them, BUT, I think they are related to the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. Not quite so over the top, but, you have to maintain a demeanor, have your order ready to speak, not speak like you are right. They have signs up about how to speak to employees or you will not be welcome - EVER.

There is always a line, that snakes around, and no one is disruptive or even speaks except at the counter.

And you cannot order a 'half-dozen' of any one kind of donut !

They get mad and just about throw you out. Tell you you can't order half a dozen, they sell by the dozen. So if you want six you have to order 2 of one kind, 2 of another, and 2 of another, and I have found they only look at you a little funny then.

Really - it is Donut Nazi Light. But, the donuts and all goods are excellent.

I think this is really because the two official shops are in rough sections of town. Haughville and the southside one. Their donuts are bought in bulk and sold some other places but they have a sign stating they will only be responsible for the quality of those purchaed in their shops.
