4. er, no
:o

the guy in the black hat is a guy that is trading some work (catching wild large animals) for some yearling heifers and the other guy is his cousin.

5. Nice Kali!
Here's a song dedicated to those hard workin' boys.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK_TXfKfyag

I am just a cowboy lonesome on the trail
A starry night, a campfire light
The coyote call, the howling winds wail
So I ride out to the old sundown

I am just a cowboy lonesome on the trail
Lord, Im just thinking about a certain female
The nights we spent together riding on the range
Looking back it seems so strange

Roll me over and turn me around
Let me keep spinning till I hit the ground
Roll me over and let me go
Running free with the buffalo

I was took in texas I did not know her name
Lord, all these southern girls seem the same
Down below the border in a town in mexico
I got my job busting broncs for the rodeo

Roll me over and turn me around
Let me keep spinning till I hit the ground
Roll me over and let me go
Riding in the rodeo

Roll me over and set me free
The cowboys life is the life for me

I have to laugh - I didn't click on the link last night because of the rain so I only just now realized that was the Thin Lizzy song! Shows how I pay attention to lyrics. Not.:silly:

12. I assume you mean the bottom pic?
They are both bulls (only important to cow people, I'm sure).

The one in the trailer is getting the tips of his horns trimmed because he has bad manners.

The red one in the lower picture had escaped with somebody's rope (lasso for you 50's tee vee viewers) plus he was supposed to be going to the sale barn. He got away and one of the guys on a horse roped him after a brief chase, Dusty was holding him down until we could get a trailer near him then they kind of led him in with two ropes and two horses pulling from the outside. I took the pic from the passenger side of the truck. Where I was not being helpful at all.;-) Although as I well know, staying out of the way can BE helpful in some of these circumstances.

13. What a strange and alien (at least to me) world you live in
using horses and ropes and doing cowboy stuff.
