Anyone can bash a comic-- let us know who your favorites are...
Put your own asses out on a line telling everyone who makes you laugh.

Me? It was a long time ago when I saw an unknown Andy Kaufman doing the oddest routine in a comedy club. For the first few minutes we were all puzzled, but by end of the set, everyone was laughing so hard we hurt. And after it was over, we couldn't think of one thing funny he said and I still can't figure out how he did that. People who went through that sort of thing with him call him genius.

I also like the crude humor of Lisa Lampanelli and Mencia. And I don't double over in laughter at Sarah Silverman's show, but in standup she cracks me up. Jackie Martling, Gilbert Gottfied, and a few others I can't think of right now make me giggle just hearing their names.

The old-timers, of course-- Henny Youngman and that whole Catskills crew were hilarious. I think Myron Cohen was my favorite.

I'll think of some more eventually. A lot of my favorites, like Dave Chapell, have left the building.

I ran into a lot of comics in the old days at the comedy clubs, and it's the toughest gig in the business. Singers always get at least polite applause unless they really suck, and can work a few songs forever. Comics? The audience is the enemy-- daring the comic to make them laugh. And you better not use that same joke I heard last week. Or anyone else's joke.
