The WIKI thread...

I am going to admit this for the first time in public: I am a Wikipedia junkie.

Sometimes I will link from page to page for hours at a time; cruising from one topic of interest to the next losing vast portions of an afternoon to the information vortex of the internets.

At any rate I thought that we could begin a thread to share what YOU recently looked up on wiki and share it with the rest of us. It doesn't necessarily have to be political; in fact the more peculiar in interest the better.

So let's see if this thread can grow some legs and create some interesting links to Wikipedia.

6. I've often used wikipedia to look up a quick fact or to get a basic run-down on

something that's caught my interest, but I've noticed some real inaccuracy and sloppiness on the last few pages I've looked at. I'm starting to wonder if it's become a victim of its own success in terms of over-editing by the under-informed...
