How are you today?

I survived my first day back at work yesterday. I have a bunch to do but I don't overdo it :)

I am still off this week at my second job. I have events to attend Friday and Saturday which are part of my main job, so I will only work at the cash register next week again.

I simply LOVE that picture.

Glad that you can take it easy at work, ease back into things, have time to catch up. Sometimes returning to work after vacation can be overwhelming.

Also glad that you've got a bit of a respite from your second job. No need overdo things.

I can't imagine, being here in the US, having two jobs and being able to get vacation time at both of them at the same time. Not only don't we get enough vacation time, but it seems like many companies often dig in their heals and become uncooperative whenever we try to schedule a block of time off.

I am glad you still have time off from one of your jobs, and you aren't immediately jumping back into the full workload. :hug:

I didn't realize you were working two jobs. One one hand it's not fun needing to work two jobs, or losing all that free time to work a second job. But on the other hand I am glad you were able to find a second job. That is a sign that your economy is much better than ours.

I am not allowed to work in my second job when I am on vacation at my main job.

When I bought my condo I knew it would be finacially thight. Therefor I had to find me a second job. Yes, it is stressful but I make enough money in the second job that it is worth it. And I do want to afford some things. Like visiting the U.S. again.

I wasn't able to sleep at all last night even though I'm exhausted, so today will be difficult. But the day before yesterday I slept for over 24 hours in a row. There is now rhyme or reason to my sleeping patterns right now. :P

One of the advantages of being home all day is that it does not matter when I sleep, :)

It has been awhile since I posted in one of your threads. Before my long break from DU which I will explain shortly I saw your threads usually later in the morning after I last posted in one but you had so many replies and knowing that you get to every post I didn't want to add to that but want to let you know I was saying good morning in spirit and I told myself I'd make it to one of your threads and let you know this.

On to the reason for my break. I thought I had a battery problem after I purchased my 4th charger and wouldn't charge unless you held the charger cord in the right spot which shifted so you'd have to change along with it. Even went through an entire roll of duct tape trying to tape and re-tape the cord in the "right" spot. Anyways I purchased another battery but it has a much longer battery life but still had the same problem with all the chargers so right then I knew it wasn't a charger problem or a battery problem. I found one of those docks on the internet that charge the battery outside my laptop and it works perfectly. Also having two batteries work out as I have one inside the dock as we speak as I use up the juice on the other one.

The dock was being shipped from Hong Kong so I tired of fighting with the cord and maintaining a charge I took a break from the internet in general while it was being shipped which took about 3 weeks. So if it wasn't for that I would've told you good morning long time ago. :hi:

At the moment I still feel rested. I went to bed rather early yesterday. And I have not much problems getting up in the morning. But I know that will change again.

well, the being rested part, not that it will change. Too often, coming back from vacation is really draining. :hug:

My dad is having some health problems right now and that's a bummer. His life isn't in danger, he's just banged up enough that he can't work and he's been that way for much of the last year. I've got a feeling we might end up living together.

I saw auntAgonist and her husband last weekend. We had a good time in a truck stop diner. With all of the left wing brain waves coming out of our booth I'm surprised we didn't get beat up by one of my less enlightened co-workers. Maybe they were just intimidated by our superior intelligence. I guess they could have been liberals, too! :)

played the last soccer game of the season, lost that, too, 5-1, also got admonished for yelling at the newbies. :( Hopefully next season will be better. We have a pretty good team that's getting consistent.

the old team, with all of our experience, split off over a year ago. "Stolen" if you will by one of our former players to start his own team, along with people in his office. They were good enough to win most of their games, then the division and get promoted up to the next division. The non-sports/non-soccer players were left, and that's what we have. I wonder if I should have defected with that team, but what would that say about my integrity. :shrug:

Losing every game really isn't much fun.
