My sincere thank you to everyone who responded...it means a lot to me. :hug:

I got home not too long ago from the hospital...I spent most of the day with her.

Her color has improved quite a bit over the day.

She could not wake up earlier, but now she is somewhat alert.

She has difficulty talking, because that makes her cough.

She is eating well, and they have her in a nice room.

I have not been able to speak to the doctor, but I have spoken to the nurses.

I will update again tomorrow.

Thank you again for your good thoughts.

mine went into hospital two weeks ago with fluid on her lungs and a heart rate of 21. the docs put in a pacemaker and she is home now doing well.

Thank you all again for your well wishes. She is doing a little worse than yesterday I would say. She is in a lot of pain, which I addressed with the nurses. Her blood gasses are not real good...pneumonia, COPD, and congestive heart failure.

She has a DNR, so I'm praying to God that her heart does not stop beating.

Your vibes and prayers mean a lot right now. I'm optimistic generally, but feeling down about the whole situation tonight.

Seems she has taken a little turn for the worse today.

That pneumonia cough is a fucking bastard.

I wish I could jump into her body and cough for her.

Since I started this thread, I feel compelled to update...and again, thank you all for your well wishes.

59. FINAL UPDATE (hopefully)

It seems like she beat the pneumonia.

She has been moved from the hospital, back to the nursing home.

Still some slight breathing problems from her COPD, but they have improved quite a bit.

She's happy and smiling and glad to be "home".

I'm telling ya...she's tough as nails.

THANK YOU to all you kind people who expressed your well wishes...it means a lot to me and my mom.

62. Yes indeed...and thanks....

Now if I can get my dog straightened out...turns out she has pancreatitis that is making her very sick.

I have a "super-vet" (seriously) taking a look at her...one of the best in the state.

As far as my mom...this happens to her once a year (pneumonia exasperated by COPD and aortic stenosis)...this one was bad...I thought this was going to be the one that took her.
