not a big thing. just an adult ed/non-credit class at my "alma mater", the school of the art institute (didn't graduate, but they let me in the alumni association anyway.) gonna take web design. hope it is a good class. they have been doing this computer shit since before most people had any idea what computer shit could possibly be. it will be good to get back in school. i am too old to worry about what to take to get the hot job. so i get to just take what suits my fancy.
i haven't had a job besides "mom" for a long time. don't really expect to be anything but a completely unknown artist. doing this mostly just to keep my head young. web design is not what i would be doing if i were looking to get a job, tho. there are more and more people who do it, and it keeps getting easier and easier. more and more people can do their own. i know people with credentials who can't get jobs. same with graphic design. i just like learning.
I was 46 when I went back to school in the '90s, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Although it did knock me for a bit of a loop to have my fellow student's refer to me as 'ma'am' . . .
