6. A woman that lived n the same apartment building as my sister won "El Gordo" (The Fat One).

She actually won a large piece, as the tickets can be partitioned off among many people, but she won tens of millions of pesetas from the fractional ticket she held.

Thousands of people holding tickets, or part of tickets win the lottery in Spain at one time.

I think it came out to twenty million dollars or so, back then.

My sister said they never saw or heard from her again.
