hey , spider fans....
wtf is this? I'm in So Cal. It's outside my kitchen window. Wife is scared, thinks it's poisonous.

1. i have no idea, but it's cool looking
it looks similar to some spiders i see here in northern colorado and i know they're not poisonous, but i can't tell for sure if that's the same type we have here.

2. It's a simple garden spider.
Not harmful, likes to munch flies and moths.

4. Denbot is correct
A very normal araneid (Family: Araneidae) spider. Kinda cute, actually (if you compare them to other spiders). I would leave it there because many araneids move their webs around, anyways, and you should be happy that no bugs will crawl through that window for as long as she stays.
