20. I'm sitting here right now, playing with a five-strand necklace
Edited on Sun Aug-30-09 11:18 PM by Tangerine LaBamba
of heishi - turquoise, mother of pearl, bone, olive shell, and coral - a piece I bought one sunny day at the Plaza in Santa Fe, after a hearty and thoroughly enjoyable lunch at Pasquale's, which is still my most favorite restaurant in the world. This particular necklace has been hanging on a wall for so long, I forgot all about it, and now I think it'll see more of the world.

Pinon pancakes - I envy you........................

11. As long as it stays in the refrigerator, no problem
When it moves out and builds a nest and web behind the refrigerator, time for concern, especially for pets, if any.

19. They have an interesting taste...
and don't taste like yellow potatoes. Similar but not the same. I use them to make vegetarian blue "flannel hash". They do actually make an exceptional homemade kettle-style potato chip with malt vinegar, sea salt and cracked black pepper.

21. I saw a show on the food channel that pointed a
super nuclear carbon 14 spectro kodachrome atograph machine at all the usual suspects: the blue part of bleu cheese, blueberries, blue corn, etc. and they all showed less than true blue on the color graph they used.

Ok, I made up the nuclear carbon 14 part . . . but that would be helpful for identifying the items in the bottom of my freezer.

27. I had a friend who refused to eat blue food
I pointed out it was so rare as to make avoiding it quite easy. But she had lived in San Francisco for awhile, and the trendoids there made blue food (using coloring) something of a fad for some time in the early 90's. So I got her this as a gag gift once, an actual children's book:
