11. How about some oxycodone
AND some of those mighty tasty special brownies we keep in the freezer?

That's yummy, too........................

18. Hence, the brownies!!!
Yes, indeed, perfect.

Anyway, you should never take anything on an empty stomach - unless so directed, like Cipro. I took Vicodin on an empty stomach, and, man, that was horribly unpleasant.

They're going to quit making Vicodin and Percocet, my doctor's nurse told me the other day, because the acetaminophen in those drugs is screwing up too many livers.

Not the opiates - the Tylenol. Irony abounds...........................

19. True story...
Two years ago I had an abscess and so the dentist gave me some antibiotics and pain pills since it was going to be a wait until my root canal.

Well I was going out to see Rob Zombie's Halloween and took my antibiotics and pain pills without eating.

I'm sitting there in the movie high, falling asleep and then I start feeling sick. Oh it was horrible. I had to get up, run out of the theater into the hallway and thankfully there was a garbage can right by the door. I spewed into it and felt better. But Jesus, I didn't think I was going to make it.

20. Never, NEVER!
That doesn't surprise me at all. I've made that same mistake with antibiotics, and blew lunch, although not with the panache and style you did.

It hits so damn fast, too. I've had food poisoning twice, and that kind of instant puking is exactly what the drug puke felt like.

That's why I always make sure I've got a full stomach before I dip into the opiates, especially the Vicodin.

It's good to know your drugs, and I'm glad you're enjoying your high..........................

21. I don't even know why I did it.
I knew the impact it'd have because the same thing happened in 2004. I just spaced and was running late to the movie.

And yeah, it hit fast. I was sitting there and next thing I know, I felt like death was hovering over me.

22. You don't know why you did it?
For the same reason that I went back to the same restaurant where I'd gotten food poisoning and ordered ANOTHER hot dog, and got ANOTHER case of food poisoning.

I was a teenager, which is part of an excuse, but not much.

If it's any comfort to you, about the rapid-fire puking, I will tell you about our Sunday afternoons at the movies when I was a kid, about eleven or twelve years old. We always had a big Sunday dinner, the mid-day meal, all Italian food, lots of it. Then all the kids took off and hit the movies.

We were sitting in the front row of the balcony, a place from which we were usually banned. But we snuck up there and were having a good time. A bunch of giddy little girls. We started laughing about something, laughing and laughing, the kind of laughter that you can't stop, and when you try to stop, you start all over again. You know the kind.

Suddenly, Rosemary Avolio is pushing at me, whispering loudly that we had to get out of there. We took off and ran out of the theater into the ladies' room, where we used to go to smoke.

She'd been laughing, and she laughed so hard she threw up.

Over the balcony railing.

Into the audience below.

Italian food.............................

15. Some people get hooked,
and some just walk away from them.

I was given constant doses of oxycodone/oxycontin, depending on the time of day, for a year, and simply stopped taking them one day, when the pain was finally gone.

Not problem at all. But I think it's just a matter of genetic luck of the draw. I quit a heavy smoking habit the same way. Again, not a twinge.

Some people are lucky - I know I am - and others, man, an opiate addiction is a bad, bad thing, you're right..........................................

14. I hate pain killers
I would just as soon stand in the middle of a bed of fire ants, because thats what taking one makes me feel like I am doing. My doctor said its an allergy to them, so maybe everyone doesnt react that way.

25. They all do that to me
never tried oxycodone. Good thing I havent been hurt in a while.

I dislocated my hip a while back, sometimes it was so bad I couldnt get out of bed. That kind of sucked since I lived alone and would just kind of be stuck. Usually I would try this roll out of bed thing that took a LONG time, then after I would kind of drag myself using my arms and slither around for a while I would start to be able to get up.

I had pain killers but I was so afraid to take one, because I was afraid they would make me sick and I couldnt move and then I would just throw up all over myself and drag it all over the house.
