I have never heard Graham Parker before today, now I have listened a lot. I like his stories. Reminds me of John Prine a little, but not country, and not so much his voice. Hell, I dont know why he reminds me of John Prine.

2. GP has become a great storyteller as he's gotten older

I feel about his singing kind of like I feel about Jay Farrar of Son Volt
The guy can pretty much sing the phone book and I'd be into it.

3. loved that one too

thanks for posting these!

One of my boyfriends greatest joys was finding and listening to really great music much like these you posted. He died in 2004. It is too bad they didn't have youtube sooner, he would have loved it. I mention this because all I could think of when listening to these songs was, man, Steve would have loved these.
