For Ptah: One good sunflower deserves another
Ptah's wonderful sunflower pics inspired me to plant some of my own this year. This summer was cold and wet, but they FINALLY bloomed. So here's mine, Ptah! Thanks for the inspiration and cheers!

It was my first attempt. The garden as a whole was a complete washout this year (literally--phkin' rain and cold temps) so it's a relief to see something actually bloom!

Next year--MORE!

6. Couple years ago, I cut a few of ours and hung them in the garage to dry.
Went out of town and returned to find hundreds of empty sunflower shells and a lot of mouse poop on the floor!

We forgot to plant them this year and didn't realize it until it was too late. Great to see others didn't forget!
