3. I'm hoping the salary cap goes away
Edited on Wed Sep-02-09 09:25 AM by charlie and algernon
and the niners can go back to having a team so deep their second team makes other teams weep in jealousy.

7. I don't think not having one is all that good for the game
It just allows the more affluent areas to horde all the talent so eventually all you have are perennial winners and losers. You might as well cut the whole league down to 8 or 9 teams instead of 32.

8. that's what the 80s were
it was the Niners, Cowboys, Steelers, Bears, and Redskins. Everyone else basically sucked.

9. Exactly. Here's the other problem
If the payroll costs are astronomical, those expenses are inevitably going to filter down to ticket prices. Even a nosebleed seat will cost you $75 at Cowboy's stadium and parking will cost you an extra $40 (there is no bus service). I can't even imagine what the costs would be if there were no salary cap.

19. i hope so, but i'm not as confident
Since John York rationed water bottles, I have to wonder how much he likes paying for talent beyond what he's doing now.

6. packers fan?
If so, not going to find much sympathy from me. I'm still pissed at the packers for knocking the niners out of the playoffs all those times in the 90s.

13. Hard to choose for me...
...there are people who think both are Gods, and while Bret is an over-rated, connivnig hack, Elway is a Repuke who dumped his long-time wife for a newer model.

5. Memories
Memries,
Like the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were

12. I'm the Anti-twins
I like the Niners, Marlins, Utah Jazz, and Orioles. The only time I actually root for Pennsylvania teams are if both the Steelers and Eagles make the playoffs and the niners are out. Then I want an all PA Super Bowl.

14. Funny thing about that
"Undefeated" in the superbowl is not as sweet as loosing THEN winning. as for all the Wins a win becomes expected. then a loss automatically becomes much more devastating.

GO BRONCOS!
