Any suggestions? Just bought a new (used) car and am very
pleased with it. It is spotless and runs great. Just one quirk-not mechanical. Every time I get into the car there is a slight odor of smoke. I an willing to wash it down but do not know what to use.

It is not overpowering but I know it is there. Any good odor absorbing sprays or foams on the market that would do the job without spotting the leather or the fabric?

Stuff like Fabreeze and the little odor emitting packages are not what I want. I'd like to make the car smell like no-one ever smoked in it.

Thoughts would be appreciated.

1. Rent a carpet cleaner
Use the upholstery attachments to clean everything that's cloth, including the headliner. Avoid using it on the leather or plastic. Then use windex on the plastic and metal parts (and the glass). There are cleaning solutions for leather, but it's probably not the leather that's holding the smoky smell.

Or just ignore it, and it should go away in a few months.

3. She wants to get rid of the smell, not add to it. Camel wide filterless is the way to go.
