A photo I took of the biggest cabbage in the world ever - at the Alaska State Fair

For the agriculture fans... :) This cabbage weighed 124.9 pounds, with a head about 21 inches across and leaf span of five feet. It broke the old Guinness record set in 1989.

1. So, is it "RoundUp-Ready" or Organic?
:P

Cool pic. They need to put a child in there for scale ;)

3. I would have loved some scale
but they had the big prize-winning veggies roped off. You couldn't even lean over far enough to get your hand in. The experts can grow some humongous veggies in the Matanuska Valley. Here are a couple of record-breaking rutabagas and a 24 pound beet. The biggest rutabaga is almost 83 pounds. !

15. This grower says he composts his big cabbages
back into his garden. They're really not very edible.

14. If McCain had picked the cabbage,
he would have had a better chance of making it to the White House.

12. Wow! That's some pic Blue.
And some cabbage. I'm always curious though of the taste of such large veggies. I think that the cabbage would be okay, but the rutabaga? I suspect a bit on the woody side. But what do I know. ;)
