There's a "Tea Party" going on here in Sheboygan...
At Fountain Park.

I rode past it on my bicycle, didn't say anything or make any rude gestures.

I noticed the "crowd" looked like about 30 people. At most.
And the local Tea Party chapter has been promoting the shit out of this event for weeks.

Reminded me of that pro-war rally picture, with hardly anyone there.

1. Yep, they were handing out fliers
yesterday at the fairgrounds. I was handed one as I was walking up to go into the gate. I was going to refuse it, but then figured 'eh, what the hell, if I take this it'll cost the bastards a cent or two. Then, I marched it directly over to the Democratic Party's booth and asked "Are you holding an anti-Teabagger party?" Well, apparently, the party isn't, but an individual is organizing one. Unfortunately, they had no information on that either....

Not too friggen brilliant of these Teabagger idiots to hold their little get together the same weekend as the Sheboygan County Fair. Organizational FAIL!!

(To anyone not familiar with this ultra conservative bastion, The County Fair is a BIG deal around here, and Saturday is the big family day.)

3. Apparently I rode past at the wrong time.
The Sheboygan Press claims thousands were there.

(The article also describes the crowd as "sun-splashed," whatever the hell that is.)

4. There's one going on from 3-5 today in La Crosse.
We had a pro-healthcare reform rally here on Thursday night with about 200 people there. The sad thing is that had it been an anti-healthcare reform rally it probably would have had a thousand there. The "party" today is less than a mile from my house so maybe I'll ride my bike past it.
