23. Highway 61 Revisited is probably my favorite Dylan album.
Good for you. I bet it's fun to start a new year. I hope it's a great one.

I'm doing well. Started a new job a few months back and took on a little more than I bargained for. Been working seven days a week. Oh well, make hay while the sun shines as they say. Beats the alternative for sure.

I could never do seven days a week of anything...
You've got a great positive attitude about it though...it sure does beat the alternative.
Hope you get a day of rest soon...like Labor Day:hug:

. . . but now, after recently being placed on the National Register of Historic Places,
the Keeper of the National Register of Historic Places has been petitioned by West Virginia
Governor Manchin's administration to de-list Blair Mountain . . . thanks to King Coal
and mountaintop removal mining interests. More info at the following link:

16. The Seeds - Mr Farmer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ywfPT9K3PU
See the farmer on the other side of town
He's always working hard 'til the sun goes down
He's up every morning right on five, a wanting green seeds just to come alive,
But he don't wear a no farm clothes, he's always using a rake and hoe,
But his seeds are starting to grow, like a big stalk up through the sky

He used to live in an apartment in a big old city
With thick and priestly windows built right in it
But he decided to move to a little tiny town
He wanted to be a farmer all year round
And on a country road where you can't see a thing
He's got five acres filled little green things, he said
He's working so hard all night and day

Mr. Farmer let me watch your crops
Mr. Farmer let me water your crops
Mr. Farmer let me harvest your crops
I want to have a dream come true
I said a farmer, farmer, farmer
I want to be just like you

See the farmer a walking down town, always draws a crowd when he's around
He's always wearing seedy clothes, he's shows them off whereever he goes
You can spot him anywhere, got a bright pink thumb but he don't care,
I said, he looks like something from a very bad dream

Mr. Farmer let me watch your crops
Mr. Farmer let me water your crops
Mr. Farmer let me harvest your crops
Mr. Farmer let me save your crops

I said, a farmer, farmer, farmer...

18. Roy Orbison - Working For The Man
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KItjUK3AV2A

Hey, now, you better listen to me everyone of you
We got a lotta, lotta, lotta, lotta work to do
Forget about your women and that water can
Today were working for the man

Well, pick up your feet, we've got a deadline to meet
I'm gonna see you make it on time
Oh, don't relax, I want elbows and backs
I wanna see everybody from behind

Cause your working for the man, a'working for the man
You gotta make him a hand when you're working for the man

Oh, well, I'm picking em up and I'm laying em down
I believe he's gonna work me into the ground
I pull to the left, I heave to the right
I oughta kill him but it wouldn't be right

Cause Im working for the man, working for the man
Gotta make him a hand, a'working for the man

Well, the boss man's daughter sneaks me water
Everytime her daddy's down the line
She says, meet me tonight, love a'me right
And everything is gonna be fine
So I slave all day without much pay
Cause I'm just abiding my time
Cause the company and the daughter you see
Their both gonna be all mine

Yeah, I'm gonna be the man, I'm gonna be the man
Gotta make him a hand if I'm gonna be the man

Working for the man, a'working for the man
Gotta make him a hand a'working for the man

only time I ever saw them, when they were riding high on the pop charts, they came out and did Juke, by Little Walter, for their encore, and damned if Huey didn't nail it.

38. The Offspring - Why Don't You Get A Job?
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 01:51 AM by Sebastian Doyle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqHkuHy39eA

Why Don't You Get A Job

My friend's got a girlfriend
Man he hates that bitch
He tells me every day
He says "man I really gotta lose my chick
In the worst kind of way"

She sits on her ass
He works his hands to the bone
To give her money every payday
But she wants more dinero just to stay at home
Well my friend
You gotta say

I won't pay, I won't pay ya, no way
Why don't you get a job
Say no way, say no way, no way
Why don't you get a job

I guess all his money, well it isn't enough
To keep her bill collectors at bay
I guess all his money, well it isn't enough
Cause that girl's got expensive taste

I won't pay, I won't pay ya, no way
Why don't you get a job
Say no way, say no way, no way
Why don't you get a job

Well I guess it ain't easy doing nothing at all
But hey man free rides just don't come along
every day

Let me tell you about my other friend now

My friend's got a boyfriend, man she hates that dick
She tells me every day
He wants more dinero just to stay at home
Well my friend
You gotta say
